The East Midlands Branch of KWE (U.K.) Receives a Commendation from IAE 2008/11/07
KWE is pleased to announce that the East Midlands branch of KWE (U.K.), in recognition of its outstanding service to International Aero Engines AG (“IAE”), has been presented by that company with the “Outstanding Shipping Service” commendation.
This commendation certifies that for the period from July 2007 to August 2008 that the East Midlands branch of KWE (U.K.), as the company commissioned by IAE to perform storage, parts inspection and shipping operations for IAE's aircraft engine parts, has achieved a "Zero Shipping Escapes".
In the handling of aircraft related parts, every stage of the process from receipt of parts through to parts inspection, storage and shipping must fully conform to the extremely strict standards set forth by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). At the East Midlands branch, two employees, fully qualified and certified as FAA "Organizational Designated Airworthiness Representatives (ODAR)" perform the required parts inspections and examinations on behalf of the FAA enabling the branch to carry out all functions from parts inspection through to issue of written proofs in accordance with FAA procedures.
For the handling and storage of all IAE cargo, an exclusive storage space has been established within the East Midlands warehouse that boasts a combination of high level security and management together with comprehensive handling systems to ensure the level of service required to achieve this award.
The East Midlands branch, at the same time as retaining its operational record of zero escape of parts, is committed to even greater improvements in all areas of its business.
