Kintetsu Eurasia Express, Inc. Establishes Representative Office in Tashkent, Uzbekistan

Kintetsu Eurasia Express, Inc. an affiliate of the KWE group ("KEE" Head Office Minato-ku, Tokyo. President: Takeo Shimomura. Capital: 50 million yen) announces the establishment on August 1 of a representative office in Tashkent, the capital of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
In line with robust economic growth in surrounding countries, particularly Russia, in Central Asia a corresponding increase in transport demand for a wide range of freight, especially plant construction and infrastructure creation machinery and equipment, as well as vehicles and ancillary parts for the above is forecast.
The city of Tashkent, where KEE has established this business hub, is the largest city within Central Asia, with a population of 2.15 million people. While KEE through its service network to date has been providing operations tie-ups for the development of business within Russia, the establishment of this representative office in Tashkent is KEE's first independent overseas office start up. In the future, centering around the Tashkent representative office, it is planned to further expand business within Central Asia.
