KWE (HK) Establishes a Warehousing Company in the Xiamen Bonded Area Strengthens its Ability to Meet the Logistic Needs of Electronic Component Makers, etc. through this Bonded Warehouse

Kintetsu World Express (HK) Ltd., "KWE (HK)" a company registered in Hong Kong that is a part of the Kintetsu World Express, Inc. ("KWE") group has established its own warehousing company within the Xiamen bonded area in Fujian Province, specializing in logistics operations including warehousing of bonded cargo. This company began full-scale operations on April 16.
While the bonded area within Xiamen, "Xiamen bonded area" received approval to commence operations from the State Council of the PRC in September 1990, until recently it has not been used.
However, the recent increased demand for VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) has highlighted the need for warehousing operations within this bonded area, and a number of freight forwarders have commenced warehousing operations here.
In 2001 KWE established Kintetsu World Express (Xiamen) Co., Ltd. Since that time, while this company has been involved in international air and sea freight transportation and domestic transportation services, in response to the increased demand by our client corporations to provide comprehensive logistic services including VMI within the bonded area, KWE has established this warehousing company as a specialized logistics provider within the Xiamen bonded area. The establishment of this bonded warehousing company acts to strengthen KWE's One-Stop Service which incorporates everything from international freight forwarding through to cargo handling within bonded area warehouses.
KWE believes that the establishment of this company will act to not only increase business received from its existing international client companies through satisfying their cargo storage, distribution processing and domestic transport needs but will also act to attract new clients such as major Japanese and Taiwanese component makers.
The establishment of this new warehousing company brings the total number of KWE group companies in China to 11. Our China group at present operates 107 business sites in 43 cities. The outline of the new company is as follows:
