Enter into Operations Tie-Up for the Hokuriku Region

Fukui Kamotsu Jidosha Co., Ltd. ("RUNI". President and Representative Director: Noriaki Shimizu) and Kintetsu World Express, Inc. ("KWE" President and Representative Director: Hirokazu Tsujimoto) are pleased to announce that for mutual business promotion they have entered into a tie-up agreement in respect of international air and sea freight cargo handling within Fukui, Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures as outlined below.
1.Tie-Up Purpose RUNI and KWE through utilization of the synergies arising through combining RUNI's distribution network in Fukui, Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures and KWE's international network will provide a high quality and user friendly international freight forwarding service that is able to respond to the increased diversification of customer needs.
2.Outline of Tie-Up
1. RUNI as KWE 's representative will become responsible for KWE's international air and sea freight cargo handling within Fukui, Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures.
2. KWE will in turn assign control of its domestic transport business on the routes between Kansai International Airport and Fukui, Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures to RUNI.
3. The purpose of this tie-up is to strengthen the competitiveness of the services provided by both companies for international cargo transport in Fukui, Ishikawa and Toyama prefectures and as a result to provide increased customer convenience. In addition, through mutual cooperation and coordination of sales activities both companies expect strengthened sales results.
3.Future Strategies Creation of a project team comprising members from both companies will result in the finalization of the concrete details of this tie-up and promotion of related activities. Further, through the improvements in operations sales system resulting from this synergy, from 1 May of this year RUNI and KWE plan to introduce a joint service that is able to fully optimize the capabilities of their respective individual networks.
