Environmental Protection Policies

Basic Philosophy

As part of our corporate responsibility of contributing to the development of the global community through our activities of cargo logistics services, we at Kintetsu World Express, Inc. shall endeavor to protect the environment on earth.

Policy Statements

(1) We will form an organization suitable for environmental control in our business focused on international cargo logistics services, in order to continuously promote our environmental control activities.
(2) We will assess our impact on the environment. We will set an environmental purposes/environmental objectives. We will promote prevention of environmental corruption. We will engage in continuous improvement activities by environmental control systems.
(3) As we abide by the environmental laws and regulations, we set our own standards to seriously tackle with our protection of the environment.
(4) Among many aspects to our business activities, we will make those below our priorities in our environmental control.
 ·Prevention of our emission of environmentally offensive materials
 ·Restriction on our fuel consumption, exhausts gas and refuse oil by efficient use of
  our cargo collection and delivery vehicles.
 ·Reduction on our refuse wooden packing materials
(5) We will engage in prevention of environmental corruption by way of cooperation and affiliation with our business partners and associates.
(6) We will disseminate our environmental philosophy and policies to all our employee throughout our company as well as our associates and working partners.

Energy Management Policy

We will actively implement a comprehensive range of measures throughout our company to meet our target of reducing specific energy consumption by 1% or more annually.

  (1) By establishing and implementing strengthened energy management regulations, we will not only continue our current energy management activities but will further expand them in areas such as energy conservation.
  (2) We will establish and fully implement both medium and long term plans to make our existing facilities more energy efficient and also to ensure newly constructed facilities are also highly energy efficient.
  (3) We will set as a priority the use of energy saving plant and equipment when making new investment in facilities.
