Global markets continue to evolve at a breathtaking pace. With Japan's economy going through drastic structural changes, increased influence of the U.S. and European economies worldwide, and China's development being felt, the world economy keeps turning. Strategic alliances, mergers and acquisitions are continuously taking place beyond our industry's inner circles, resulting in the formation of giant business entities.

The Kintetsu World Express group of companies will cope with those changes by recognizing our strengths and weaknesses, remaining flexible, and making changes ourselves in order to ensure our continued growth and success.

As part of our efforts to foresee a perspective on our group's future within the next ten years, we have formulated the "Project Grand Design for the 21st Century". It is our intention to have our group-wide directions and strategies shared by our people throughout the world, with a strong commitment to win our clients' recognition as a true global logistics partner.

The Project GD is outlined in the attached literature. It includes our visions and business policies, steps to meet our objectives such as strategic planning for air and ocean freight forwarding, cargo logistics, human resources management, and information technology enhancements. We view this as the basis for our endeavors to elevate our group's synergy, add values, and create an optimal business environment through partnerships with our clients. This in turn, will enable Kintetsu World Express to further contribute to the ongoing global economic development.
